Walmart Reviews

No customer service
My mom and I have been customers of walmart since I can remember. Today I visited walmart in Greenville, Ms and bought a pre-paid calling at&t calling card on register 18. I decided to put the money on my phone before I left the store but upon doing so discovered no money was on my card. I immediately went to customer service and reported it. I was told there was nothing they could do, and I would have to call the 1-800 number on the card. This was all the money I had left and now they're telling me it's nothing they can do about it, but I'm standing here haven't left the store yet, but it's nothing they can do to assist me. I spend 1, 000 in foodstamps at this store every month but it's nothing they can do to help me. Now I have no money on my phone. I am so disappointed and I will never again shop at walmart. My mom is such a good customer that all the employees know her by name (Ms Pat). She will no longer be shopping there either. Customer Service means just that. What the *** are these people there for if they're not going to be of any assistant to the customer.

Refused to return battery core charge
I have four tractor batteries I purchased from the Wal-Mart in Lebanon, Ohio. They have never actually been used as to draining current from them. They have been recharged once.

As I live about 20 - 30 minutes away by car, I called customer service first as I no longer have receipts (they were damaged by water and were no longer legible). I explained I would be purchasing a different kind of lead acid battery. They said fine, bring them in. So I did, and took them to the auto desk as instructed. The ***-ociate refused to return the core charge, and when I went to the manager, he said I "..only had 30 days to return them anyway". Apparently he doesn't understand, derspite my explaining it to him, that the core charge is not a return but a deposit because of the recyclying neccesary.

They are also penny wise and pound foolish as I won't, of course, be buying a new battery there but also IO won't be sp[ending a dime there ever again.

As I worked for Wal-Mart for a time I am familiar with the idea that once they have money, no matter what the idea is to keep it, regardless of the situation, but this angers me enough to turn me into an anti-Mal-Wart activist. A core charge is a deposit, it's not supposed to be part of their profit. Now I have four tractor batteries I'm stuck with that I have no use for.

Possible racial profiling
I purchased 3 items and paid and exited via the Garden Centre door. On exit I was asked for and presented the receipt. The guard took the receipt and looked at it for almost a minute; it had 3 items. He then initialed the receipt. As I was preparing to leave the parking lot I noticed that others had exited but the guard did not look at their receipts. I had 1 small bag while others left with larger bags and soil.

When I spoke with the Store Manager; in my opinion, he was most unhelpful. He mentioned to me several times that he was not present to see what happened. This is not how a manager/leader is supposed to respond to a customer. If I took that attitude with clients, I would be fired. He made no effort to keep a customer but sought to attribute blame to the customer. Yes, I am now a former Wal-mart customer. They may be the closest to my home, but they are not the only game in town, they are not the cheapest, they do not have the best goods and do not provide the best value.

Incidentally, the guard is South Asian; I am Black but I suspect he may be following store (implied) policy.

Unhappy with the savings in recent coupons
I like Walmart but have been unhappy with the savings in recent coupons. Times are hard and we need more of a price break from you so we can keep shopping there. come on walmart help us out a bit with discounts.

Charged for "50% More Free"
At the WM in Lenoir City, TN today they had an end cap display of Crystal Light On The Go Drink mix. The boxes there had 10 ea for $1.97. To the left of this display was another smaller display of the same type, however some of the packages were in original packaging from Crystal Light that said "50% More Free." Above this display also was a price sign of $1.97. I picked three boxes of the 15 and went to check out at the self checkout. Those boxes rang up for $3.00!

I called a clerk over and told what the signs said and she said, there are 15 in these boxes. I said "I know. The display said 50% More Free." She said, "So you don't want them." I told her I did not want them at that price, but I did if there were $1.97 as the sign stated. Without saying anything she took them off and then re-priced them at $1.97. I thanked her, but...

This was not the first time I found WM charges more for the manufacturer's free or bonus packs. I find this deceptive and if you notice it please make your complaints known.

no cashiers to open registers
I stopped in at approx 16:30 to pick up 2 items and all the 20 item or less checkout lines were backed up.I ask one of the cashiers if they could open up another register.I only had 2 items and did not have time to wait for 10 minutes to get checked and the cashier said to me that they did not have anymore cashiers. If that is the case Walmart needs to hire more cashiers. With so many people out of work there is no excuse for not having enough help to run your business. If i have another incident like this again, i will not longer shop at Walmart .My time is to valuable to be waiting in a checkout line for 10 minutes to pay for a Quart if Milk and a Head of Lettuce

cheating on insurance
I went in to pick up my medicine and I didn't check the bag, "it was stapled Up" when I got home I noticed only five vials of insulin, and I was suppose to have gotten seven, I called the pharmacy back and got the run around and was told I only had a prescription for five vials"I got seven last month" from the same pharmacy, I called my insurance and I was told WalMart charged my insurance for seven! I also got another person's prescription in my bag that was n ot even mine! I don't have enough insulin to run all month hardly and with WalMart cheating me and the insurance company "Humina" I can't even buy anymore insulin if I could, I am loosing the feel in my feet and legs as is, and now I don't even have enough insulin to run a month until next time I can get it refilled, not to mention I still have the other person's medicine that was not for me to take anyway! Since this happened two weeks ago my insurance says they paid for insulin last month once for five vials and the next day they paid for seven vials, which I didn't even get the five vials last month either. I think there is a problem with the pharmast because if you talk to any of them like I did they have a slurred voice like someone that was drinking or taking pills. But who do you contact?? And who does care??? My name is Terry E. Vaughn PO BOX 212 NArrows, Virginia 24124

Associate
I was taking my 3yr old son to the restroom in walmart. He and I could not fit into the stall together, so the door remain unclosed with my back to the outside. Beside my mother in another stall, I thought we were alone but soon enough I turned around to see what was breathing down my neck, and it was an walmart employee/custodian! WATCHING MY SON PEE! My son exclaimed " mommy, what's that man doing here"? (which was actually a woman with a really confused identity)! I turned around and the woman started to speak to my child without even acknowledging ME!!! I firmly told her to back off and let us finish our business and I looked at her name tag, then later (when my son wasn't around) I called the store number on my receipt and spoke to the "co-manager" who seemed to understand. This all happened a few hours ago, so I've yet to receive feedback about the associate's misfortune. The co-manager has my contact information so I'll wait til tomorrow morning, then I'm calling again!!! possibly speak to someone else and get more people informed! This is an outrage!

Comment on complaint
I wish to comment on the woman that claims that walmart stole money from her, and that she is a school teacher. You definitely need to not be working with children, what is wrong with you? You claim you had no other choice other than to steal from Walmart and to do thins in front of your own daughter who is 10, what do you think you just taught your daughter? Walmart is not responsible for your carelessness and stupidity. You need to have your purse in a place that is not accessable to children for many reasons, the most important being, children are just that, not delinquents! A 9 year old boy who admitted such an act is going to be a far better citizen when he grows up than you are now. Thank god my children don't have you as a teacher! You are the only one to blame for this situtation and to think what you exposed your little girl too, what a shame!
