money taken at gas pump
I paid the gas station attendant $40.00 to purchase gas on August 18, 2008 after 10:00 pm. She programed the gas pump for only $20.00. When I pumped my gas the pumped at 20.00. she claimed that I only gave her 20.00 and that I had to wait until 11:00pm when she closed to see if her register was over. well I did not wait. i went into the store and asked to see a manager. I was told that the person I needed to see did not come in until the next morning. Well, I live 25 miles from that Walmart so the next morning I called the station manager. She told me that the person that worked that night did not report an overage and that was nothing she could do about my money she had taken. Both the manager and the cashier were very rude to me. I want my $20.00 back. I will never make any gas purchases at Walmart again.

Unauthorized billing
I was sent a Walmart moneycard by my granddaughters mother for summer purchases for her, I can't use the card for they keep charging monthly fees and you can never talk to a live person you always receive a recording. If you talk to a person they want to charge you a $2.00 fee.

Terrible experience
It was early December of 2006, I had asked for a digital camera for Christmas. After extensive research I knew exactly which one I wanted. The price was good as was the product so my parents went to Walmart to get it. However they found another one, it cosed slightly more and wasn't nearly as good. My father though assumed it would be better for the price, and he couldn't entirely remember which one I'd asked for. He brought it home and decided to ask my opinion of it rather than surprising me. I read the box and told him it was a rip off and I'd go back with him to show him which one it was that I wanted.
We got to the store and returned it, the woman takes it into the back, then returns to tell us the box is empty, and we aren't being refunded. I wouldn't have imagined, it was heavy so I didn't think twice about looking, the seal hadn't been broken to my knowledge, apparently there was a tripod in the box or something that was making it heavy. I fully understand that the situation looked suspicious from her point of view, but we had no idea what was going on. So we asked to speak to the manager. He came out and we explained to him that we honestly didn't know what was going on and we certainly didn't steal a camera we didn't even want to begin with. He continued to tell us there was nothing he could do. The camera had been locked in a case and it wasn't the display or a shipping problem so we had to have taken it. My father told him once again that we didn't and perhaps he should consider the fact that one of his employees did and that the customers aren't always to blame in situations like this.
This didn't seem to go over well with the manager, he then told us 'I have it on tape, we saw our sales associate pull it from the cabinet, take out the camera, show it to you then place it back in the box.' My father stated that this never occurred and he wanted to see this video tape. The manager repeated what he'd said to us and once again my father asked to see it. He made up some mumbo jumbo about it being confidential and that he didn't have to show it to us.
After a good 40 minutes of arguing with him he finally gave in and refunded us. I am fully aware that people do things like that all the time to rip places off, but to make up some bull about a tape highlighting a situation that never occurred is just wrong. Especially when it comes to covering up for one of his employees, we aren't dumb we know employees steal stop trying to rip off a customer by blaming it on them.
As we were leaving my father thanked him and said 'I don't know if you believe me or not, but I'm telling you there's a problem within your team.' The manager responded with, 'I know.' The way he said it made it seem like he'd been aware of it for a while, but in denial.

Poor quality items
WALMART SUCKS!!! THEY HAVE VERY POOR QUALITY ITEMS . I bought a few clothing items that fell apart just putting them on. The workers are hired with an IQ of 12. So forget customer service returns. Bottom line... Walmart is cheap and dirty. MAMA was right when she said you get what you pay for!!! Walmart i s just out for profit. OH!!! and don't try to copy a key there... 3 rd time back... incorrect again? wow... maybe it's the idiot behind the counter??? No problem at Fred Meyers! They hire people a bit smarter. Wake up America... ban Walmart!!!

Fraud and scam
Walmart moneycard is ridiculous!!! I tried it out originally to get my daughter something online to protect my original card. To begin with, they didn't submit the correct balance I originally put on it. Some how it just "disappeared" I added enough plus for my daughter. At the end of the month I asked her what she spent the money on and she had only spent $49 dollars of it. I checked the transactions and somehow, the money was disappearing 2 dollars at a time. By the end of the month 100 dollars simply disappeared! Fraud? first thought? But no it was someone through moneycard Walmart weaseling away the money 2 dollars at a time!!! No lie!!! They are criminals! I was never reimbursed. I talked to several account specialists they call themselves... they could barely speak english I had to say "what?" over and over finally I hung up on the lady from god knows where... not America... to say Hell with it all. Lessons of life learned. I called the manager of Walmart he said he could not handle the complaint, it was not their territory. OMG!!! BEWARE OF THE MONEY CARD... IT IS RUN BY THE BANK OF CRIMINALS usa!!!

management
I have never been in a worse Walmart store before in my life. The management belittles and harrasses their employees in front of the customers. The manager told the guy at the door to check an employees purchases and receipt at the door to make sure she wasn't stealing anything when I had huge boxes I was taking out and they weren't checked. The same manager told one of the cashiers that she was being to nice to the customers. How are you TOO NICE to customers? I refuse to shop at the Mount Pleasant, Iowa Walmart EVER again!! They need to et rid of the management they have there. If I come across that at other Walmarts I will stop shopping at any of them! What does it take to get the corporation to do something down here? I have put in numerous complaints at the store, but of course no action gets taken. It is the worse ran Walmart in the world!!!

Terrible food
Walmart had big advertising on offering alternative foods. You offered them alright and as you do with everything jerked a lot of them right off the market. Some Vans waffles are offered, but no wheat free. Then on the sausage, you canceled your contract with Lopez Foods and they had to quit making the precooked country sausages. I will not buy the Walmart brand, because you buy the cheapest meats, full of hormones, etc. and fat. Lopez does not do this.
And another thing, you hire people who do not know the English language (at low wages) and they cannot get the orders correct half of the time or answer any questions intelligently. If you are going to do this, offer English classes they have to take in order to get a job.
I have noticed that Albertsons is getting more and more business. People had rather go to the dentist than Walmart now days. I will campaign for a Costco to come into this town, also.
And what do you care? Just remember eventually the bigger you get and the more you step on people and brainwash your employees, the point of God and diminishing returns come into play.

Damaged center hubs
Oil change... more oil in the truck and on the truck. Tires rotated, lost the lugnut key. Replaced the entire set, but damaged 3 of center caps. I purchased 4 center caps, plus the lug nuts, theres was a cheap replacement. The original parts are on special order. I then went to walmart to see about putting them on... answer we will only place the three that were damaged and with much opposition, still not clear on that !guess i should wait for the next tire rotation?being met by a manager, which pasted my comfort zone, this was nothing but a joy, short tempered and defensive, she did call. Wendall the manager. The phone call resulted in this, answer we have done everything we were suppose to do.management took my information, so now i can wait for a phone call from the main office as it now stands. We are in claims status. Sad to see paying customers go to walmart and have there vehicle trashed and damaged. My request was to pay for the center caps that were damaged and mount the new hardware as a courtesy. I was shocked by the opposition. Walmart tire and lube has more training in defense.

health
I work for walmart and i had a panic attack and they told me that i would get a "point" if i went to the hospital, you only het so many points before you get fired and i dont think that me having to have a ambulance come and tell me that i NEEDED to go to the hospital sould warrent me getting a point!!!

Bad service, dirty store, not stocked, impolite
The store is dirty inside and out.
The people who work there are not helpful, stand and talk to each other and ignore customers.
Check out lines overly long not enough checkers.
Store not stocked, empty shelves everywhere, can't find what you would like to buy or need.
Poorly managed.
No one in Carlsbad, NM is happy with this Wal-Mart in fact quiet a few will drive 38 miles to the next town to use their Wal-Mart. We try to do our business in our home town but it's hard with such poor service.
