I have tried over and over again to ge my interest rate lowered to no avail. I started with a 15.0% interest rate and now I have a 31% rate. this has inceased my monthly payments by 50.00 per month and I cannot affored to keep paying that amount. I am retired and on fixed income. The rate was raised by washington mutual for no reason, other than greed, as I have made all payments on time since I have had my visa card (issued in 2005). I am not trying to get out of making the payments, as it is a true and actual debt, and I have used my credit card often and admit to owing the outstanding balance, however, not the 31% interst, they are charging and with the government bailing them out I think a 13% interest is more than fair and will pay that rate without hesitation. However, I may have to take another way out if I can't afford to make my payments that have been raised. Thanks for your help, Arnold
