Their fees are criminal
Wells Fargo Bank process of debit and credits with checking accounts and debit cards creates excessive over draft charges and it's my belief that they know what they're doing. Its methods makes it very difficult to balance account. I consider it criminal.
There process to debit your largest check amount first which will make your other checks no good, so in turn they get $34 per item that they return. If you use the visa on your debit card it is immediately taken from your account and then credited back that night, which causes confusion with your balance, not that it's there responsibility, but they know this confusion creates fees when the vendor submits item for payment and it then taken from account again.
Those are just two examples of them knowing what they are doing.

Wells Fargo disapearing transactions
Looking for more people who are having this same problem. I booked a wedding chapel for me and my fiancée’s wedding using my wells Fargo check card. Ok. I checked the balance a few minutes later, and it was on my account, taken out and all, for like 3 days. Then today I checked my balance, and the transaction is no where on the site. I’m willing to bet it would be on here in a day or two, whole point is they are hiding transactions to confuse consumers, therefore racking up unfair overdraft charges, (lol) in the order, largest to smallest. Nothing about the time or date of transactions. Just trying to find out if there is more people with the same problem, how many there are, and what we can do about it...class action lawsuit anyone?

Do not bank with Wells Fargo
Do not bank with Wells Fargo!!! In the last couple of years I have had a few bad experiences with Wells Fargo. My credit account has been closed few times for no reason and without a notice (phone, email, mail, etc.).
Today, for the 3rd time in two years, Wells Fargo has closed my account without a notice and for no reason. I've been a Wells Fargo customer for over 5 years and I will be terminating any business with Wells Fargo. I have had enough with their worst than poor business and customer service.
Please, DO NOT BANK WITH WELLS FARGO, unless you want to waste your time, energy and money.

Service Charges
I closed my account(s) with Wells Fargo over two years ago. Last year, I received a call from a collection agency trying to collect on $55 service charges from Wells Fargo. After further investigation, it turned out that the banker didn't close the accounts correctly and I had incurred $55 on my account. After a two-month ordeal, Wells Fargo credited my account and worked out the details with the collection agency.
A year later, I received another call from the collection agency with another $55 negative balance that I need to pay. Having gone through this before, I called the branch asking to speak with the manager. The teller (Lara ?) hung up on me. On my second attempt, she gave me the number for the overdraft department. So I called the overdraft department (Denis; extremly rude) who refused to even listen to me. He said that I need to talk to the branch manager because the charge is over $50. So I called Lara again. She said that her manager was at a meeting and that she was going to call me ASAP, if I left my number with her. I did.
No call. So I called the branch again and asked to speak with the manager. Megan (same manager as the one from last year) answered and said that there is nothing she can do to help. She said that I needed to pay the $55. I asked if she could check my account and she said no. Her excuse was that there is no history and I should contact the overdraft department.
Reluctantly, she looked up my SS# and said that it was my savings account that was not closed correctly. When I asked her what she was going to do to help me correct this, she said "nothing, I don't want to discuss this with you. I told you ... just pay the $55, there is nothing you can do." I asked her if there was another department that I could speak with. She said no ...it is just me and there is nothing you can do but pay the amount.
I cannot believe this. Should I set aside $55 every year to pay to Wells Fargo for one of the accounts that I closed several years ago. The problem is thatthere is not where to go. There is no one that can help. I should just pay whatever it is and shut up. There is no regualtion of any sort and firms like wells Fargo are given every opportunity to exploit customers in order to make money.
Can anyone help?

Poor customer service!
It all started with me trying to use my debit at target I had ordered food and brought up some groceries to buy. I did not have any cash so I had to use my card. All of sudden when I am purchasing I am told my card is declined. So there I am with the food sitting there and I have no way to pay for it. So I leave Target embarrassed and immediately call the 1-800 number because it was around eight and the bank was closed. The operator tells me that my card has had a hold put on it by the branch manager in hillsboro. So, I ask if she or any of her supervisors there can take the block off the account right now because I need to buy some food. She tells me only the branch manager can take the hold off my account so I need to call the hillsboro branch tomorrow. So I waited till the next day to call the 1-800 number again. When I called I told the lady my situation so she said she would get the branch manger of the hillsboro Wells Fargo on the line for me. When she connected me to the hillsboro branch a manager answered saying that the branch manager would not be in until 2:00. So I told him my situation and told him to tell the branch manager to take the hold off my account once he gets there and if he has any problems doing so call me. Three o' clock comes around and I figure my card is good to use so I use it and guess what it's declined;again. So I call the 1-800 number again and the person who answers the phone says his name and thats it. So I ask him who am I calling and he says Wells Fargo. So I say why couldn't you say "Thanks for calling Wells Fargo this is so an so, how can I help you today." So he then says to me well I figured you knew who you were calling, so why would I say it. I could not believe he could say something like that to me I was shocked; something so simple as a greeting and he thinks I am the one in the wrong. After that fiasco I told him my situation and he attempts to patch me through to the branch manager once again. What do you know he is not there son the service manager at the hillsboro branch answers my call. I tell her my situation and she tells me there is nothing she can do and that she will take a message for the branch manger for me regarding my situation. I must of told her a hundred times I want to take care of this now not two hours from now or the next day. She keeps telling me there is nothing she can do about it. So I ask her well can the district manager do something about this or someone above him because I need to eat something now I have ate nothing for the past day and I should be able to use my card. This whole time The service manager and I are talking she is being very condescending and flat out rude. She even said to me well why is it so important that you have your eleven dollars. So I ended the conversation with her because I was fed up with her rude remarks about my financial situation. In the two minutes it took me to drive from my work Craft Warehouse to the Tanasborne Wells Fargo location the hold was miraculously taken off my account. Even though I was told by the service manager that the branch manager was at a meeting away from the branch. When I get into the Tanasborne branch I close my account. About an hour later after I closed my account the branch manager Bob finally calls me on my cell phone and tells me that he put the hold on my account because I used my DEBIT at a lottery facility four times in a short period of time. SO I say why would you put a hold on my card if I used my debit. He tells me in his experience there has been alot of fraudulent charges revolving around lottery facilities. So I say I do not care I used my debit no one else knows my pin accept me; I could understand if it was a bunch of credit charges. If he would of taken the time to scroll down the page more;while he was looking at my account he would have seen that I have pulled out 4 amounts out of an ATM at a lottery facility numerous times before. So I asked why all a sudden are you going this know and he had no answer to my question just like all the rest of the people I dealt with at Wells Fargo. I can't tell you how many times I called Wells Fargo and the person answering could not give me a proper greeting. It is so simple at my work I never answer the phone saying "Justin". That was what one of the ladies who answered the phone at the hillsboro branch said; "Marilou". That was all she said when she answered the phone. All in all Wells Fargo has the worst customer service I have ever seen anywhere. I have never been so poorly treated as a consumer. What do you know the hold could have probably been taken off the first night I called the 1-800 number. Please take any action possible against Wells Fargo. They should not be messing with peoples accounts like that and they definitely should not be treating their customers like that.
*If anyone who reads this knows anyone in the media please pass it along to them too or maybe even perhaps the FDIC would like to hear about this. Thank you for your time and concern.

Denied a bank account!
My wife and I have had a bank account with our local bank for 29 years. We recently bought a home in another county and our bank does not have a branch there so we had to switch banks. We have never bounced a check in fact were told we were platinum account holders in good standing. We closed our savings out received a cashiers check for a substantial amount and went to Wells Fargo. We also just bought our leased $43, ooo car with Nissan who financed it at 5% for the remaining $19, 000 owed after we put down $8, 000. 4 years ago my wife almost died and we had major medical bills. We paid much of what was owed until we spent all of my 401 savings. We had to go bankrupt. We however kept our American Express Card and owed very little other than medical we had no choice.
When we got to Wells Fargo the teller could barely speak English and we had a hard time understanding her. After taking all of our information she told us they could not give us a account because of our bankruptcy. We were not asking for a loan just a checking and savings account. And we did not authorize a credit check or was told they were going to do one. Our poor credit score since buying a home has taken a lot of hits with everyone checking it which I authorized who is Wells Fargo to not tell us the criteria before running our credit?
My wife started crying, and could barely breath here we had closed our account and now told that all banks will run this type of check. We went to Bank of America asked them first and they checked and we were not denied they said our name came up clear.
We also are concerned about when we applied they kept insisting we open a checking where they take $75 a month out of our checking and put it in our savings? We said we did not want this. They insisted it was there way to help us save>?? My wife finally said we just want a normal checking and savings account. They then said well we will just take out $25 and put in your savings. What on earth is this? Since we did not mind them we feel they ran our credit and saw the BK and made the decision that they have a rule that until the BK is 11 years old they do not allow accounts. I am looking for somewhere to find out if this is true. And also why they are pushing to take money out of our checking every month and put it in our savings. BTW we had a very substantial check to deposit why would we need them to help us save money?
Something is seriously wrong here. Plus my wife went through horrible embarrassment and physically distress over this.

Auto loan payments!
I have been paying on time with in the 10 days grace period that you have when you purchase any auto loan. Well I am taken it now that Wells Fargo does not honor this. I have a auto loan through another company and I do not get harassed like I do with Wells Fargo. The most recent incident happened on 3-14-08 when they called my husbands work demanding that he set up an automatic payment right now even though the check was already in the mail heading to them. The lady was very rude and pushy. I only get paid twice a month so it is not like I can always pay them in advance but I always pay them at least 5 days before my grace period would be considered up. I have to juggle this payment and the other auto payment by paying one before the other. I have never had a late payment on my vehicles! Well after my husband decided to get just as rude and pushy with the lady... he then hung up on her. Now they are calling today which is a SUNDAY only 2 days after they talked with my husband... they are calling my in-laws looking for us. I have had about enough with Wells Fargo!!! I can understand if we were always the ones with the delinquent account but we are not... never once have we been late with this company... so why are we the ones being harassed here...

Rude customer service representatives!
I call Wells Fargo and tell them that I have a payment on the way to them with bill pay from my bank account. I just called to let them know so they wouldn't have to call to inquire about it. It was Thursday morning. They call me Friday twice and Saturday 3 times to inquire about the payment, which I called them already to let them know. They have different representatives who call all hours of the day and night regardless of the information I give them. To top it off the representatives are extremely rude, will not listen to anything you say, interrupt by raising their voice and drowning my words out. They insist that I make a payment over the phone when I already made one through the bank. Then they threatened to repossess my car when I am only one payment behind. Argumentative when I tell them I kindly I already gave you the information that payment was taken from my bank yesterday, and it should post to Well Fargo the next business day. They want me to stop everything I am doing, go to my bank on line, and give them a confirmation number, know when my next payment is going to be made. etc. They are rude and totally harassing me when I called earlier to kindly inform them of the payment arrangements I have made. I will NEVER answer the phone when they call me again. I know they probably just hired some uneducated people off the street to work for commission on payments posted. But the business ethics they hold is TOTALLY non-existent.
I WILL NEVER USE WELLS FARGO AGAIN FOR ANYTHING, AND I WILL GO OUT OF MY WAY TO WARN EVERYONE I AM AQUANTED WITH THAT THIS IS THE WORST FINANCE COMPANY ON THE PLANET.

Scam and fraud!
My Husband and I sold our house in Wisconsin, and came to Cookeville TN, we had over 50,000.00 and a credit score of 7.8. Because we are both mentally and physically disabled, my husband is a disabled Viet Nam vet, with cancer from agent orange. we hired home inspectors, a buyers agent, and if you are hiring a buyers agent make sure they are not with rebac, and check all disclaimers in your sales contract.
There are a lot of people involved in insider mortgage fraud, it is usually the listing agent, the seller, the appraiser, the home inspector, the closing attorney, who if you think he is working for you, think again! Make sure you get it in writing, and make sure he doesn't show you one paper to sign and switch it for another.
Also you have 180 days to file a complaint to get arbertition against a realtor, and 3 years in most states to file complaints with the State Boards, most of these will give the crooks a slap on the wrist, and you are just out everything and will have to keep fighting because there is no help for the defrauded home buyers, but if it was the homebuyer that lied on his loan app. they can prosecute you, but try to get someone to do anything to the mortgage lenders, or banks, or Freddie Mac.
Wells Fargo is committing organized fraud and conspiracy to commit racketeering in a real estate and mortgage scam We have been working on our case for over 3 years, and we have not found any one to help us, we will continue to fight for our rights, to have equal justice.
The appraiser working with the mortgage company WR Starkey a company that buys loans for wells fargo had their appraiser over value the home and we have filed a complaint with the state board he received a small fine for misreporting property characteristics and for communiting an appraisal in a fraudulent manner. In other words he lied and said we had a well and it is actually a foot valve in a creek, so we have to haul our water in, as we have no potable water, the septic tank is under the house, it is a 812 ft Jim Walters home with 2 unfinished additions one of which is 567 square ft he said was heated and cooled, there are registers in the floor but they are not hooked to anything, and he said it is a site built home, and 1776 square ft.There is supposed to be 23.5 arcers but we think it may only be 1 arcer. Because of our handicaps we hired all these people to make sure we didn't get screwed, they all took advantage of us.

Fraud and cheating!
My sister finance a car through wells fargo about 6 months ago, she was financing the car for me however I was not on the financing, the car title and registration was under my name. I got pull over back in 11/22/07 for dui and the police took the car, now the police release the car to wells fargo, however they refuse to give the car back to us since there is a law in NYS that apparently prohibits them from returning the car. Wells fargo is now saying we broke the contract due to this situation, they are saying they are going to appraised the car value and that we will still owe them an amount of money. The amount owe will be base on the total of the loan minus the value of the car. I bought the car for $31k and gave a down of 2k, I have made 7 payments of $601.66 and they still claimed we owe than 29k, how can that be? I spoke to some guy David at X26874 who is handling this case, he works with seizure and forfeit autos. I wanted to know about getting full details of the situation, this guy was very rude and hang up the phone on me, not to mentioned he was very rude to my sister when she called he was upset because she did not speak english and had a translator on the line. I left at least 5 messages for this guy and he has not return my calls.
