Salesman Rick Schoen made me sign a hand-written note agreeing to negotiate in good faith. He then offered me a 2006 Honda Civic for more than $17, 000. When shown that this same car was listed by his dealership on AutoTrader.com for a little over $10, 000 his faced turned red, he smiled and joked, "why didn't you tell me you were an internet client?!" We agreed on the advertised price, signed papers with the finance guy - who no longer works there and whose name is illegible on the paperwork - shook hands, and I drove off in my new (used) car. A week later I was told there's a problem with the financing. After 3 weeks of playing phone tag, I was able to speak with Rick and someone named RJ. (RJ was consistently rude and aggressive on the phone.) I made an appointment to come in and seek out a resolution. (I had to make an appointment because I have a job and cannot simply stop my life to accomodate a rude salesman.) The night before the appointment, the car was repossessed in the middle of the night after an investigative service harrassed my neighbor. After speaking to the Finance Manager - who was even ruder than RJ - who was satisfied that the car had been repossessed and said, "this concludes our business."
