Used my timeshare week at a resort in Tennessee. While there was approached by a Mr Wesley Smith who offered to upgrade my Weeks timeshare to points which give me more flexibility. To do this he said I needed to deedmy timeshare to him along with over $4, 000.00. This was to give me 26, 000 points to be used each year for vacation exchange with a home based resort in California. He presented himself as a representative of RCI and had legitimate appearing credentials. I had previously been approached at a time share in Florida about the same thing but could not afford to do it at that time, therefore I had no reason to believe this was a scam. Mr Smith said it would take up to six months to get the paperwork in order. Well this never happened but I have lost a timeshare plus over $4, 000.00. I understand he has swindled many people including a judge and that there is possibility of a lawsuit against him. Is there anyone out there familiar with this problem?
