These people call you telling you that they have an offer to purchase your time share. They pretty much tell you that you will receive what the resort would sell the time share for if you were to buy it direct. Any one who has a time share that they don't use and doesn't want to pay the maintenance fees any more would be more than willing to listen. Here's the catch, they say they will send out the contract if you will give them $1, 997.00 refundable deposit for the title work. They state that they work with Chicago Title. I have had a real estate license in New York State for over 34 years and I have never seen a title cost this much for a luxury home none the less for a $23, 0000.00 time share. If they really had a buyer and a legitamate offer, then they would get a deposit from the buyer, send you a contract with a deposit made out to you (hopefully non-refundable) sell the property and the title company would get their money at the closing like every other transaction in the real world. When I told these people that I was recording the conversation and that I would contact the attorney general's office they were not too happy. Then someone called me back from this company and stated to me with the return call that I do not have permission to record the call. I told him to hang up then, however he kept on talking trying to justify the way they do business. This company is total BS. Buyer and Seller (especially Seller) BEWARE.
