locked out of yahoo mail

My yahoo email account was infected by a virus last week and it continues to send messages out. The Help Desk says

to change my passsword and run a virus checker. Well, my pc has an up to date virus checker and trapping these #^%#$% emails going to my Outlook. It's yahoo mail that is infected and Yahoo is in total denial and won't fix it. How can I get these guys to get rid of a virus on their system??

A few weeks ago my Yahoo account was compromised. Since that time, I have had my debit card used illegally at least 3 times, and finally had to pay Identity Theft to cover me in case someone is trying to steal my identity. The false charges to my account were paid back although this company, Blazing Words, keeps running new charges through the account. I cannot wait to turn this in to the FBI, etc.

The reason I am complaining about Yahoo is that this entire identity thing could have been prevented if Yahoo had allowed for another way to identify myself. When I opened this Yahoo emai account, I was living temporarily in another state and I lost the papers that told the specifics about enrolling in Yahoo - in other words, the special question and the special answer, etc.! I cancelled my main account with Yahoo due to the really nasty Viagra emails I was getting every day, and the remaining account was hacked.
When I asked Yahoo to help me get into my account simply to erase the bank accounts, and other private numbers that are posted in that account, Yahoo refused to help without my giving them not just the special answer but the special question to a form I filled out over six years ago! I begged them to understand this is, and even said I could have Paypal identify me. I can have the chief of police testify that I am who I say I am, but they just laugh in their very obnoxious way and refuse to let me know the changed password. So while someone is stealing from me, Yahoo is a bit responsibile for failing to listen to my plight, and I think they are as disgusting. No wonder people do not like Marc Cuban - this situation is serious and needs attention - it does not need to have Yahoo employees failing to see the seriousness of the matter. I have sent countless emails - and I have called. It makes no difference. This again is how corporate America works- they are truly indecent. I think if they were going to require people to remember the questions, etc they should send out an annual email telling people to be sure to up-date their information for this very reason. So by now someone has read all my emails and copied all my personal information. I can do nothing and Yahoo could care less.

GET YOUR OWN EMAIL ACCOUNT OR USE YOUR CABLE ACCOUNT - THIS IS SIMPLY FRIGHTENING AND HORRIBLE AND SHOWS HOW DISGUSTING THESE CREEPS REALLY ARE. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, READ THE PRIVACY SITES THAT ARE ASSOC WITH YAHOO. THERE ARE AT LEAST 500 COMPANIES READING YOUR EMAILS AND MAKING MONEY OFF YOUR PERSONAL THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS.

to the executives of yahoo. you should have special filters to block all thes lottery and inheritance scams coming from africa and now england.
sure we can delete them and send them to scam but we shouldn't have to get them at all. some people are very gullible or some identity fraud uses our money to nuture these scams. you have a responsibility to protect the weak from unscroupulous criminals. get on the stick and advise what your doing about it. ed
