SICK SCAM FOR CUSTOMERS & WORKERS
I started working down Yes Loans on 7th Jan 2008 where i was trained for a week then put into my week in hand, i had to wait 3 weeks before my first pay!

Throughout the time i was working for them they passed me around to different departments even one i had never been trained on but most of us put up with it due to good pay for most of us young people with no qualifications so we was taken advantage of.

Hitting summer last year approaching the credit crunch everything started going mad managers requests from Keith (Wilton) Chorlton the main boss to start making us work overtime over wise we get threatened the sack, not the overtime that bothered me it was the fact we didn’t get paid for any of it.

Normal shifts 9-5.30pm they made us work 9-8pm everyday, Saturdays occasional Sunday, and even bank holiday Monday!
If anyone had a complaint about it all the managers would say is that our bonus pay will cover the overtime we done, the funny thing was that the targets were set high enough so not many people got paid bonus or they wouldn’t pay it and most of us would end up with our basic wage going home tired and stressed.
Not many people argued about the way we was getting treated as everyone knew the credit crunch had hit bad at that time and how hard it would be to look for a new job.

Most departments were having meetings every week due to targets not being hit which was down to the credit crunch but obviously Mr Chorlton didn’t really care as long as he got the money he wanted!
As Christmas came along everyone waiting to have a nice break but unfortunately if you hadn’t booked it off in about 3 months advance you couldn’t have a holiday!
Luckily I booked mine off so as I was looking forward to my week off which did go successful I did have a nice time to relax over Christmas.

The day I came back from my holiday was the day when the whole place was covered in security guards, everybody wondering what the hell was going on
The managers started calling us out group by group, which started causing suspicion when the groups weren’t coming back in, it was simple everyone knew what was happening we were getting the sack! That day eventually my name came up so I walked to the meeting room to see what they had to say surprisingly they said it was due to not hitting target I didn’t bother saying nothing as I wasn’t the type to answer back I think it upset me more than anything knowing what hard work and effort I put into the company and they used me and many others.

As I got home I realized that they owed me £780 from hitting my target in the month so they sacked me for basically no reason at all, I did manage to get the money they owed me but it just made me sick that I couldn’t do nothing about what they put me through.
I got sacked on the 29th December 2008 which because of that I couldn’t take them to citizens advice because they sacked me before a year had been complete.

I moved on and found a job which made me realize how bad that company really is, it made me laugh that my friends who worked there also was getting phone calls to go back, I was glad I changed my number YES LOANS are a SCAM! What they do to people is sick! Never apply for a loan or work their I could go on about many more things. I just think its really sad Mr Chorlton has to treat people like this and has no feelings most probably because he thinks he is big due to the money he is claiming from the less fortunate people in Britain. Will someone please investigate into this messed up buisness.

total liars
They told us they were the loan company and that we had a 10, 000 loan and it would be in our bank in 5 days. Within a week still not heard anythingg so rang company finally got htrough and just got told a load of rubbish. It is a premium rate number and we have rang 10 times. it takes 40 minutes to get through and when you finally do and tell them you want your money back they hang up on you every time. They owe us £69 along with the other million people they have ripped off! I have attached proof that they are a bogus company! someone please help us get our money back and the money we have spent of the phone ringing these liars! The company director has been banned from been a director for 10 years for doing this to so many people and there a thousands of complaints about yes loans which are identical to ours.

3 months for a refund
I applied for a loan with Yes on 5/11/08, however after being duped into paying a fee of £59.50 over the phone, without explanation of the fee I decided to withdraw my application. I telephoned the company on 11/11/08 advising them that I no longer wished to proceed, to be told that that I would need to send back an unsigned copy of my application with a letter of explanation. I did this immediatedly, however I still had not received a refund by 23/12/08. I telephoned the company to be told that they had not received the application form and I would need to return another one. This meant I would need to wait for them to send out a further form, so that I could send it back. I did so on 28/12/08 via recorded deliver, asking for my refund by 16/1/09.
On 23/01/09 I telephoned the company asking if they had received my returned from they confrimed they had received it on 9/01/09, when the post office records confirm it had been received 29/12/08. Thus far I have now been advised that they will refund me my money but it will take 28 days as they will raise a cheque.
Be aware YES loans is not a reputable company avoid them at all costs!!!

scammed out of £60
I found out only too late what crooks this company are. They use illegal advertising on the net (saying they're a loan company when they are not) yet seem immune to prosecution. Copy of brief mail I sent to Trading Standards today:

Yes loans took money for 'admin' fee and said I'd been successful for a loan. Their website and spiel suggested loan was from them - it was not. They are merely a brokers, and a scamming one at that. I later got a call saying I'd been turned down for loan but successfully secured car finance by Welcome - up to 9k. The YEs man then arranged a day and date (next weds) to go to my nearest Welcome centre (two counties away), choose a car and drive it away same day. He congratulated me on my new purchase and many years of happy motoring! But THEN I got a call from WCF only saying they 'might' be able to help me, that they'd heard I was 'interested' in applying for a loan from them, and was I okay re their doing a credit check etc? They asked when I wanted to come in. They said nothing about Yes already having arranged the deal - they'd merely passed me on to get the commission, and that "£9000 max" spiel wwas just another ton of lies. Back to square one now re getting a car, and the money put by for my rail pass has gone so I'm even worse off - we are suffering hardship because of these crooks and I'm glad the MD's son was shot dead last October. It proves there is a God after all. Yes blatantly missold me their product and were fraudulent re Welcome. There was no £9000 at all aand I hope Keith Chortle gets his kneecaps blown off. (The last bit was added on - TS got the standard version) Interesting to see WCF is also mentioned on these pages.

Money taken after cancelled proceedings and several hours of harrasment
i applied for a loan with yes loans and was told they had to take a processing fee of £59.50 which i told them i had no money in my account they asked when i would next be likely to have money so i said "i think about the 5th december but im not sure when my money will clear into my account" i was not asked was it ok to take the money on that date and the phone call ended. the next day i recieved a call from yes loans asking for the money to process the application so i told them i want to cancel the application which they replied by asking why and i told them i had come into some money and no longer needed the loan and i was told that my loans details had been closed and do not hesitate to call if i wanted to apply again. later that same day i recieved another 5 phone calls in which i told them all the appliacation was to be cancelled and they all said it was done 3 days later after recieving untold amounts of calls from yes loans i told them i would be getting them done for harasment should the phone calls continue as i didnt want to proceed no further with the application and then i heard nothing at all from them after that until the 5th december when i checked my bank account and the money had been taken out i called yes loans and asked for a refund he said i had to fill in my form and send it back saying i no longer wanted the loan but still to this day i have not recieved any letter from yes loans so i called them again that same day and told them no letter was recieved and i was told there was nothing they can do until i return the forms and said they would send another one out which i am still yet to recieve i have now had bank charges and direct debits have been cancelled because of this aswell as the endless amount of money i have wasted on contacting them. does anyone know who i can contact to take this matter further and proceed with legal action to reclaim my money? my email address is [email protected] many thanks

ADMINE FEE
I contacted YES LOANS several months ago for a loan of £2000. So I handed over my card details and paid the £59.50 admin fee stupidly enough as i was told that i had been accepted for a loan of this amount i asked the woman again if i had definately been accepted for a loan that she quoted to which her response was 'YES you have definetely been accepted for a loan'(how ironic). When I received the application form in the post to sign etc i decided that i didnt want the loan anymore. So i wrote to them 3 times asking for a refund and filed a complaint with them. But suprise suprise i still haven't received a refund or a reply. I contacted them a month back and after being put on hold for an hour finally got through to them. Explained I had wrote to them etc but had still not received a refund. The man explained that i needed to sign the application form to apply for a refund. Tried to explain to him that by doing this would give them authorisation to find me a loan which i did not want. He said it is 'COMPANY POLICY' that if you wish to have a refund you have to sign the agreement. Once again i explained that i would not do this an want a refund. Same response from him company policy etc etc told him that i wished nto speak to the line manager or supervisor he then told me that no one was available to speak to me. In the end i got absolutley nowere in relation to a refund. I work for a local law firm and plan to take yes loans to court to get a full refund. Even though it is only £59.50 i am disgusted in the way so many people have been conned by this company and i will not let this go until i receive i FULL refund from one of the worst companies i have ever dealt with. I do not know how they are still up and running it is blatent robbery.

Refund
I paid admin money to Yes Loans because they have said my loan was approved. The following day they send me the forms in the post and for some reasons the loan was to be approved by a third party. I changed my mind before the processing of the application form and they agreed to refund me my £59.50 which the havent refund fund me regardless phoning them four times. Their phone number is too expensive to keep ringing and they put you on hold for ages. I dont know what to do and i think I am gonna go through FSA to get my refund.

No refund
Applied for a loan with them in January. Paid them their fee and then found out that none of their lenders could help me. I was told that I had to wait 6 months for them to refund my money. It is now October and I am still waiting. I have phoned them on numerous occassions, sent them a letter last month (with no response). I have spent more money on phoning them and hanging on for 20 min at a time with no luck! They are quick to take your fee, but when you want your money back it is a different story! I am sick of them.

Fraud , Theft , etc
Hi i have had £59.50 taken off myself without my consent ! they asked me to confirm i had abank as i was made bankrupt in may 07 so i needed to assure them i had a bank in place should a loan be approved, they never mentioned a fee or charge as i would of politley told them no as i did with welcome car finance as they explained a charge of £25 would be for there services of finding me a loan to which i declined, as i can do that myself without being charged ! S o why would i then pay so other company £59.50 ? I am a carer for my mum and thats more than i get a week and they still havent replied to my emails and my bank are no use as they say as i gave my details its not fraud even though i didnt authorise or was i asked or told a fee would be needed ! So basically if you ever give your card details to a company etc, and they decide to take money without your consent your bank wont help you either ! I am thinking on going to the police as its been a month nearly now and i havent received an email from yes loans to even confirm they have received 1 of my 20 emails ! but the terrible thing is there is surpossed to be a backlogue of emails to which i am not surprised as with all the complaints they must be receiving, but with the backlogue i have explained to them that the sales staff who are obviously working on a commision and numbers scenario and are just preying on the vunerable people who have ccj's, bankrupt, or just need some extra cash to get by etc, as they can keep doing it without being caught with the backlogue that i am imagining is now a month at least ! I am thinking of going to the police as i have begged them to listen to my recorded phone call and it will verify all i am saying is true and that yes loans is very corrupt as are some of their staff etc ! What are your next steps as i think they need to be brought to justice and the rest of the british public who are in need and vunerable like myself need protection and if the banks are not going to help then at least public awareness may provide some protection etc !
