I have had home & contents insurance with Zurich for over 10 years and have out in one small claim some 8 years ago. However, recently after an horrendous storm I had to claim for both home and contents damage due to water ingress. I followed their instructions and got quotes, submitted them and they paid up. Then my neighbour said that a similar problem had happened some 10 years ago with water comming off an adjoining field so I told Zurich thinking they may recoup from a third party. No way. They just refused to insure me further. By the way, the Environment Agency say there is a 0.1% chance of my house flooding...about as low a risk as you could get.
