I had a question about whether or not my wireless router had to be rebooted if I plugged in another ethernet cable to connect my DVR. I got on line and looked up Linksys and got a 1-877 number. I called and asked the technician if the router would recognize the new ethernet or did I have to reboot it. He asked me to get on my computer and access the internet. Then gave me a code to put in my address bar. I asked why he needed remote access to my computer and he replied that was how to fix the router.
