While on the internet I suddenly received a message from "Microsoft Internet Defender" that my my computer was under attack from a virus. I thought this was a warning from Microsoft's "Defender" software service and upgraded for $29.95 to get rid of the infected files. It turned out to be a scam. The payment was made on my debit care and so the thieves made off with my money and also infected my computer which took many hours at a tech center to fix.
