My husband used to use this site many years ago. He liked it then and got good buys. When I needed a new laptop, he decided to buy it from buy.com. He bought a very well rated Toshiba, which cost $1300. It was not clear when he bought it that he was not buying it from buy.com, but a third party. When the lap top had not arrived a week after it was supposed to, he called buy.com, who then explained that he bought it from a third party, and they could not help at all.
