When energy efficient bulbs first came out I was one of the first to change over all the bulbs that were used the most. I gave away the ones that gave off yellow light once I realized they were not all yellow. At that time I was only able to buy 15 watt and my kitchen was not nearly bright enough. Today my wife brought home a half dozen Sylvania Super saver CFL 40 watt bulbs. Before even trying one I asked her are they white? She said it even says on the package they are bright white.
