I went into my local post office in Fort Smith, Arkansas to apply for my passport. I gave them all the information they asked for and then proceeded to ask if they needed anything else. The lady kept telling me that what I gave was enough (ID, Birth Certificate) she made a copy of my ID, and sent them the original of my birth certificate. Even though I had the passport expedited, I got a letter in the mail saying that the information I gave was not enough to prove my identity. The letter came from the Charleston, SC passport agency.
