On January 7, 2011 I mailed GEMB two checks. One was a personal check in the amount of $73.96 to pay off a deferred interest account that expired in December. The other was a convenience check from Fifth Third Bank in the payoff amount of $1197.25 for the October 2010 deferred interest promotion due to expire in April. When I received my February statement, I noted that the bill for the larger amount was still outstanding.
