These people scare me. I was with them for 5 + years. When I tried to cancel my account, they used some scare tactics on the phone, he also said I could transfer it to a friend/family member, I haven't been on a contract for years, I was taken aback by both the scare tactics and the suggestion that I transfer the account to a friend, (really, are you kidding me) then thought wow if I ever get another alarm service, it won't be monitronics, I was told I needed to send a letter, so I sent a letter in December canceling my service.
