I bought an item on Ebay and paid for the item with shipping and insurance. I received the item and it was completely damaged. I took the broken item with the box and all the supporting documents to the local Post Office (Oak Hill, VA) and filed a claim. The item was $7.99 and the shipping was $9.25 + $1.30 for insurance. I have not heard anything from the USPS. I visited the office where I filed the claim and was told that it might take up to a year.
