I applied about a week ago for a Capital One Credit card when I received a pre-screened offer in the mail. I was approved and received my card in the mail today. I called and activated it and was told I could begin using the card immediately. I made two small purchases with no problem. As I attempted to make a third purchase at Verizon Wireless, the sales associate told me my card was declined.
