We rented a vehicle from Thrifty Car Rental in San Jose, Costa Rica & after stopping for gas we noticed a "bulge" in the side if the front tire. We returned to the rental place and asked if they would change it for safety reasons, but they declined to help us. We were told we had to find a tire place on our own and have the same quality tire and replace it at our cost. The clerk was rude and offered very poor customer service skills. The new tire cost us almost $50.00. It scares me to think what could have happened if that tire would have blown on those mountain roads. read full review »
