C.A.R.E (Companion Animal Rescue Effort)- who are affiliated with PETSMART. We sadly learned something today. We would not suggest anyone buy a pet from them. Always read the fine print on the contract that you sign. You are adopting a pet from them, your name is the owner, but they have legal rights to the pet over you. We almost got a dog this weekend. Our neighbor got a dog, 2 months ago from them - the contract says the dog is about 2 yrs old and her vet said the dog was more likely 8 years old. Big difference!
