I looked into adopting a poppy from A1K9 Rescue in Ohio. I did not end up adopting from her because I was not comfortable with the high volume of dogs that she has been 'selling' and that the majority of them 'have been rescued from puppy mills that have been closed down.' Seems suspicious seeing that she is not registered as a non-profit and her adoption fees are excessively high. I got approved within five minutes of e-mailing my application.
