Well, I guess Joe isn't the only one who is going to have his comments 'toned down' by the folks at Enago. I don't know, it's just that in the US we tend to expect to get paid for work completed. These fellas determine when and if you get paid...and clearly if there is a way out, they will make use of it. For instance, offering jobs requiring 'minor revisions' and then sending back the revised version to the editor with a ton of additional comments and corrections.
