A friend that owed me money went to Wells Fargo to deposit what they owed into my account, using my name and address. The teller would not allow them to deposit the money in the account unless this individual could provide them with my account number. I contacted a branch in Yuma and spoke with the manager, she reinforced this policy. I let her know in no uncertain terms, that I had better not, ever again, get a call from someone telling me that Wells Fargo wants me to provide my account number to a non WF employee.
