I purchased a Trek model 7100 bicycle in July 2010. Except for being poorly assembled, all screws were loose, the bike performed well. Overe the winter the bike was stored in a dry shed. This Spring the paint from the main pedal gear has peeled and rusted, all supposedly chrome parts for the brake system are badly rusted. Trek was notified and has not responded. The bike was taken to a Trek authorized shop and the mechnaic stated Trek will not warranty these parts since they are OEM and Trek does not warranty OEM.
