Yesterday I shopped at both Coles and Kmart and the amounts were under $35. I submitted my credit card and the machine processed it without needing a signature or pin. The checkout girl told me that this is a new system. I would like to voice my complaint about this as I don't view it as customer service. Obviously this new system is meant to speed things up at the checkout but at the customer's expense as credit card fraud can be executed with no checks in place.
