Quicken loans kept calling me to "take advantage" of a no cost to me refinance. For a $500 dollar deposit, they were going to get me into a 3.87% interest rate in place of my 4.5%. When all was said and done, they wanted to close at $112, 000 dollars but I only owe 108, 000 dollars. That is a $4, 000 dollar cost to me. When I told them this was unacceptable, they said that the deposit was not refundable. News to me. Is this a scam or what! If they do this to 1 million people that's $500 million dollars profit.
