My husband was taking twice daily blood thinner injections. He was having trouble sleeping at night so I thought maybe melatonin tablets might help. I went to the pharmacist window to ask if it was safe for my husband to take melatonin while on the blood thinner. Pharmacist said yes, it was safe. Not feeling quite right about this answer I went to the internet to check. Quickly found out melatonin is NOT to be taken while on blood thinners! Dangerous people behind the pharmacy counter.
