I wrote a check to pay my Visa Bill for $1000 from my TD bank checking account. TD bank paid out $2000 instead of one thousand dollars claiming my "1" looked like a "2" even though the amount of the check was clearly written out One and zero one thousand dollars. They charged me $85 dollars in overdraft fees. They admitted it was their mistake and refunded the fees but we still don't have our thousand dollars back in our checking account and cannot pay our bills this week because of it.
