I had personal experience with an IME from a reliable physician on a workers compensation claim. It was found that I had a herniated disc and the HMO doctor never noticed it. I then was referred to a Orthopedic specialist to correct the problem .. So if it wasn" t for the IME physician , I would have continued with heat packs and PT and no cure to the problem...
