We had to make quick arrangements to Kill Devil Hills for a funeral. We booked through hotels.com and thought it would be an okay place. What a HUGE disappointment: Wallpaper peeling in the bathroom, yellow stains on sink tops, peeling paint throughout, carpet not vacuumed well, 2 towels and one wash for 2 people, burned mark in carpet from an iron, small holes in coverlet looked like from a curling iron, cabinet holding coffee pot was disgusting, trashed refrigerators and broken bed parts etc. stacked next to our window.
