I booked a hotel through bookit.com in Jan. 09. One month before the trip I called and cancelled. bookit.com did not cancel or tell the hotel I cancelled. I was charged a total of 456.12 for the room to be reserved. I was then charged 40.00 three times in one day for unknown charges, a total of 120.00. Then after I cancelled 2weeks later I was charged fees. A total of $600+ in a week. Putting me in the negatives in my bank acct. They admitted they were at fault. I am getting my money back little by little but it has taking them a month! They wont credit me for my troubles or pay anything just a sorry. thats horse sh*t.
