In October of 2008 my car was broken into at a park and my pocketbook was stolen. I called Wachovia and canceled all of my credit cards with them and closed my checking and savings accounts as well. On Monday I went in to my local branch and filled out numerous pieces of paper work. I then made it very clear that all of my identification was stolen, so I will need a fraud alert on my new account just in case they try to write bad checks.
