Officer michael ericson called me this morning to tell me he had a complaint on my social security number about an unpaid payday loan. Luckily this is not the first time I have gotten a phone call like this and knew it was a fraud. He had a thick indian accent and would not give me his address or any information other than when directly asked if he was an officer of the law he had enough sense to say he was not after being told this conversation was being recorded and i had his phone number. I keep getting phone calls from a blocked number, or an all zero number or a crazy number like 099. They said they are from the FBI/Dept of Law & Investgiation of Florida. The number they gave me was 303-578-5556. The 1st man i spoke with claimed to be officer mark williams( with an indian accent) with the FBI / The department of law and investigation and the second gentleman claimed to be Officer Anderson also with the FBI. they had all my information, address, full name, social security number and so on. I went to exchange a pair of jeans for something else . they still had the tag attached with the price on them and i was told by leigh they could only give me the price they rang up for because they didnt know how much i paid for them because I didnt have my receipt with me. (the tag was attached as i said ) They rang up for half the price that was on the tag because I bought them last month. I placed an order totalling 58.50 with 4.40 tax and 8.95 shipping. I also had an online coupon email to me from lane bryant the same day i placed the order for 20.00 off a 40.00 order or more. my total should have been 51.85 and according to the confirmation screen it was. when my card was charged they charged me full price of 71.85. Ive called the company and they are supposedly issuing a refund. The customer service was good on the phone but the fact that im overcharged after confirming the correct price is ridiculous. ok so my husband signed up for the 9.99 a year membership at classmates.com last week. Today I got a 19.99 charge from some group named MVQ Privacy. I have cancelled my card immediately and paid the 5.00 replacement fee. Looks like ive been hit as well. Guess I will take it up with the bank asap. Yall watch out... C L A S S M A T E S . So I checked in today with my company for a conference we are having at the embassy suites in concord north carolina. My company is paying for all the rooms with corporate billing but I was asked for a credit card for incidentals that might be charged to the room. I asked would there be any charges made to it or any kind of hold and was told NO by the front desk clerk.
