AVOID GE MONEY BANK AT ALL COSTS. I had been subject to the "floating due dates" scam they pull, which you can see in ample evidence in complaints on this site -- they quietly creep the date back till you're getting late fees (of $40, at that). To combat this, I started sending them my payment split into eight checks per month -- two per week. I even made sure the little payments were high enough that if they somehow managed to accidentally-on-purpose only get seven of them into a billing cycle, I'd still be covered.
