Watch out! I got a free credit report and cancelled by phone (866-365-8654 use 1 for free report cancellation), and received a cancellation number. Then the same day I receive an email from the company requesting me to login with username and password (which I actually wrote down, even though it was automatically assigned and easy to miss ! I know these companies), and "confirm my cancellation".
