I recently relocated to Boulder Co- in efforts to make an appointment with COMCAST for my cable TV- I called FREE 411- they connected me with who I thought was Comcast- when I asked if I was speaking to Comcast they said they were. I proceeded to give all my information to them- name, SSN, address, and credit card number- what I thought was standard procedure for setting up a new account.
