I have an account with GE Money with a limit of $5500. The account was opened last year when my daughter had oral surgery and our insurance did not cover all the charges. I have more than $5400 available for use and therefore I owe less than $100. The payment was due on 8/15/09. When I went on line to make the payment that day at 6:15 am, there was already a late fee attached to the account even though the payment was NOT late.
