I recently checked into an Econo Lodge motel in Fort Myers FL. The room smelled like urine as soon as I opened the door, so I immediately went back to the registration office and asked for a refund. They told me the would not charge me card and gave me a receipt indicating I would be charge nothing. Two weeks later they charged my card for around $50 dollars. When I called the hotel they were completely unhelpful, claiming they could not find the charge.
