I fell for a sob story from an alleged reform gang banger who was selling magazines outside of Boston. I then looked up the details of his story and found them to be fabricated. I called Midwest Clearing, and an agent promised to cancel my order. He hung up on me when I asked him his name, however, and I cancelled the check. Today, I got a collection notice for the amount of the order. I have little doubt that the company sold my "account" to a sleezy collection agency. Now, they need to be dealt with. Big mistake!
