Last month a representative called us saying excitedly "Congratulations! We've sold your timeshare!" Well, having been down this road before, I was very skeptical. Apparently there are a number of scams going on with dietary supplements. I saw an ad in the Los Angeles Times online about weight-loss promising remarkable results. I am looking to lose about ten pounds, so I figured this sounded great. And natural--using the Acai Berry. They have testimonials and such, so I called the 800 number and soon found myself in a quagmire of charges to my debit card. I also was scammed by this company. In August of last year, I was contacted by a Ms. Gina Newton, who claimed to have a buyer for my timeshare in Cabo. We allowed her to charge our credit card $2449, which would be for marketing. That's where we should have balked. When we got sent a contract, it was not for a bill of sale, but rather a bill for marketing services. We were duped.
