ASC was notified by our homeowner's insurance company that our insurance had lapsed (turns out it was a mistake by an employee of the insurance company) in 2006. ASC waited to notify us until 2008. So we went without homeowners insurance for 2 years. All the while we were paying ASC the insurance money in our morgage. Since they waited so long we weren't able to get back with our old company or any other for that matter. They forced us to go with their company which was much more expensive.
