I have had this TV, Vizio 42" LCD, for 42 days past the warranty period. The picture and sound went out and they (Vizio) said that it was the back light that had gone bad. They also said they would do nothing more for me because the set was out of warranty. It's never happened to me, but I've heard and read where many companies will honor a warranty when the problem occurs shortly after the expiration. Vizio won't, even though it's a major breakdown. I may be unreasonable thinking that they should do more to help me, but I'll never buy another Vizio product because of this. There are too many other choices. read full review »
