I bought a new Nissan Micra in Sept 2008. In February 09 the dealership replaced my carpet as the fibres begun to come away near the drivers seat. For the record, i never leave anything on the floor in front of the driver's seat that could possibly cause the problem. I can't even rest my foot there as my legs are too long. The carpet was ok for 1-2 months and then it happened again. I had to get the carpet replaced for a second time in June 09. Now in October, it's happened for a third time.
