I called on 11/9/09 to close my existing account with Capital One credit card and they refused to close it until it has a Zero balance. I understand that the balance would remain until paid off, I just no longer want to do business with them. I want it to be reported to the credit Bureaus that it is was an account closed at consumer's request on 11/9/09. I do intend to have it paid off by the end of the year. I am upset that they refuse to honor my request. read full review »
