Throughout the film I have been watching (Mad Max), AMC, in its questionable wisdom, obliterates the bottom of the screen with a full-width banner ad for The Matrix or The Prisoner. I note that these are not present during the commercial breaks, presumably because AMC does not mind ruining films but does mind upsetting Geico. Is it necessary to bombard viewers with ten-minute reminders that The Prisoner is coming to AMC?
