The editor noticed that some sections were individually strong but didn't connect smoothly. I had assumed readers would automatically understand how one idea led to another. We added short transitions that explained the relationship without repeating the previous section. In a few places, simply changing the order of two paragraphs solved the problem. The revised manuscript flows much more naturally. I learned that transitions don't need to be long.
