My husband was laid off October 2008. I called GMAC Mortgage for a loan modification only be asked to jump through numerous of hoops. They make it so hard to get approve. I sent in requested documents 5 different times and they still have not approve us. GMAC have attached all kinds of hidden fees on top of our hardship. They put us on a re-payment plan but the money we paid on that plan was not being applied to the past due balance. GMAC Mortgage is a real joke!!!
