I visited the Family Dollar store approximately 7:30p.m. on December 15, 2009. My five year old son and I entered the store and my son said, Momma can I get a soda(which was in the cooler).I told him yes. Terri the manager who was working at the cash register and who is also the store manager told him that he could not get a soda until he paid for it. She did not communicate that with me, she told my five year old son. I asked her why couldn't he get a soda and she told me that it was the policy that they had to pay for the soda first.
