Dermitage says they will send you a free trial. First off, the trial is NOT FREE - they get your credit card information for "shipping." Next, in VERY SMALL print, you have to call in 14 days, PLUS at your own expense return all of the product to them or be charged $69.95 (or somethimes much more) on a monthly basis for auto ship. I called to cancel in the allotted time - twice because I did not want to be charged. Twice they "extended" my trial period with a promise to e-mail me about the end of the trial period. Arbonne has a $15/year fee to continue to be a "sales consultant." I have been one since November 2004, using the product primarily for my own use. I would usually pay the fee around the time it is due, or since I don't often place orders (I wait until I have a larger order), I pay it with the order nearest to the time it is due. This year, at the time I usually place an order, I needed to take an emergency trip to China (my daughter was in critical condition in a hospital - unconscious, on dialysis at times).
